Allied Gardens is a community located in the inland part of San Diego. It is bordered by the Del Cerro neighborhood to the south and east. Its residents have access to conveniently located local recreation, and the big city entertainment is only a short drive away.

Visitors can also climb Cowles Mountain, whose peak is the highest point in the city, and see the gorgeous landscape all the way to the ocean. For a bit of history, check out the Old Mission Dam, a state landmark built in 1816 by the Kumeyaay Indians. Or go to the Visitor Center to watch a film about the history of the Kumeyaay people who lived and worked there. The park has something fun for all ages to enjoy.
Shopping and dining for Allied Gardens residents is easy, thanks to their prime location near the city. Mission Valley Mall has restaurants in addition to its familiar chain retailers like Target and Nordstrom Rack, plus a movie theater. Fashion Valley Mall features trendy, high-end shops like Bloomingdales, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton in addition to its 18-screen movie theater. After a day of shopping, have a bite at one of the many eateries in the mall. In addition to these, Allied Gardens is close to all of the world cuisines that San Diego’s restaurants offer, with enough dishes to suit all tastes.
Residents of Allied Gardens are served by the San Diego Unified School District. Schools in the neighborhood include Foster Elementary, Marvin Elementary, and Lewis Middle.
